HOW DO I START TO PLAN MY FLOWERS?
Gather pictures of things you love, arrangements, colors, flowers, even rooms that appeal to you. Clip
samples of the bridesmaid's dress color, collect pictures of the wedding site, bring a picture of your gown
to the consultation or send us your pictures by email.   Everything must work together so it flows
beautifully throughout the wedding. Your flowers must reflect your style, your personality and must
enhance your gown. Even your height as well as the ornamentation on your gown plays into the kind of
bridal bouquet that is best for you. Each bouquet we design is an original and designed specifically for one
bride, never to be repeated.

Establishing a theme helps too. Is it springy with tulips and daffodils, or gardeny with berries and grasses,
or perhaps a western  barbecue theme with rich color, or is it ultra dressy and elegant with pearls and
satins? Whatever you choose we will carry the theme throughout the wedding creating a flow of gorgeous
color, fragrance and beauty.

NEXT? Establish a budget.
We can't plan your wedding without one.A rose, bought in bulk can cost one or two dollars, but  David
Austin garden roses can cost as much as $9.00 each. We need parameters within which to work.

Once we have a budget and a feeling for your theme we can do the hard work of making it happen within
your budget. We at flowered
events, have been known to go out in the park and pick up leaves, or stop at
a neighbors home that has a flowering bush and get permission to pick a few unusual blooms or to design
your centerpieces and teach you how to make them yourself. After all wedding work is a lot of labor, and
if you can make your own centerpieces and save money then we will help you.

Ideally your consultation should take place three months before your wedding. We are a small shop, we
don't book heavily and we don't take every wedding we are offered and we generally take only one
wedding per weekend. We will reserve that day for you until you have a chance to review the quote we
send you. It's our view that in order to keep the ideas fresh and current, consultations should be within a
few months of the wedding.

As the owner of a full service flower shop for many years I recently sold the shop in order to specialize in
weddings as well as to greatly lower overhead.

All of the above prices fluctuate depending upon the variety of flowers, the size of the piece, the quantity
ordered and the degree of difficulty. Our job, rather than have set prices is to provide beautiful flowers for
your wedding within your budget. We never offer flowers from a catalog. Each piece is designed uniquely
for you, your height, your coloring, your preferences, your gown, your venue and your BUDGET.

We do not charge for consultations. We
do charge for delivery depending on the distance and how many
products we are moving. We charge extra for installations of arches, decorating pews etc.

We, at flowered
events never attempt to oversell you big, expensive,overwhelming floral arrangements. On
the contrary, we try to frame you beautifully and tastefully so you remain the focal point of the wedding.
We strive to do this economically.  Fifty years from now we want your photos to reflect a beautiful bride,
not a showcase for some florist's zeal or selling skill. Don't you?
WHAT WILL MY WEDDING FLOWERS COST?  
Dozens of elements go into the pricing of a
wedding from stem wrapping the boutonnières to
containers for the centerpieces. These prices can
vary wildly. For instance a centerpiece container
may be a flower tower trimmed in silver and  cost
over $100.00 or it could be a hidden plastic throw
away dish that costs $1.00 or it can be a rented
container
